The Morning Rotary Club of Livermore Valley and the Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF) have joined forces on a new grants program for Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) schools.
The program will provide grants of up to $1,000 for qualified school projects. The Morning Rotary Club & LVEF will contribute equally towards each funded project. The intent of the program is to provide supplemental funding for Ā initiatives that fall outside LVJUSD funding channels.
Rotary has a rich tradition of supporting public schools. “Rotarians believe deeply in the importance of education for the entire community,” says Morning Rotary Club President Charles Crohare. “We look forward to partnering with LVEF to enhance and enrich our children’s educational opportunities.”
LVEF President David Jonas welcomes the collaboration with Rotary. “Teaming with Rotary will allow LVEF to expand the scale of our mission to achieve Straight A’s for Academics, Arts, and Athletics in Livermore,” says Jonas. “Our administrators and teachers have so many great ideas, and we want to do our part to reward innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.”
